Flight control for sensor-intensive UAV and avionics systems

SkyApex FCU combines dual IMUs and barometers, an onboard magnetometer, isolated sensor power and an STM32H743 processor on one board.

01Architecture

Precision-oriented flight-control architecture

SkyApex powers critical sensor groups through separate low-noise regulators. Dual IMUs and barometers create two independent inertial and pressure-sensing paths.

An onboard magnetometer, 12 PWM outputs and seven UART interfaces connect additional sensors and aircraft subsystems to the same flight controller.

02Sensor Power

Separate power rails for critical sensors

SkyApex powers its sensor groups through four independent low-noise regulators instead of one shared 3.3 V rail.

This separation reduces the electrical noise that can reach critical sensors through the general power system.

Two independent barometers

A Bosch BMP581 and an Infineon DPS368 create two independent pressure-sensing paths.
