Flight time depends on battery capacity. As the aircraft improve, so do their batteries. Longer air time means more output for the job, so battery capacity is a core buying factor.
In agriculture, for example, drones spray or irrigate fields. A long-endurance model can finish the job in one flight without a battery swap, which cuts cost and delay. That is why long-endurance drones draw interest in every sector. The models below are common examples:
AUTEL ROBOTICS EVO II 8K
Built for experienced pilots, the Autel Robotics EVO II 8K flies for about 40 minutes. It has a built-in camera and LED lighting, a 7100 mAh battery, and a 1150 g take-off weight. Range is 9000 m. You need a certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) to fly it.
DJI MATRICE 210 V2
The DJI Matrice 210 V2 targets expert users with about 38 minutes of flight time and a 7660 mAh battery. Range is 8000 m; you can fly it with an optional built-in camera. It has LED lighting and a 6140 g take-off weight. Complete the required training and certificate before you fly this professional aircraft.
XIAOMI FIMI X8 SE 2020
The Xiaomi FIMI X8 SE 2020 has an 8000 m range and a built-in camera. It uses a 4500 mAh battery and flies for about 35 minutes. It suits experienced pilots and requires an SHGM certificate after training.
DJI MAVIC AIR 2 FLY MORE COMBO
The DJI Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo has a built-in camera and needs a certificate. Training follows the SHGM curriculum through approved organisations. Range is 18,500 m. Experienced pilots get about 34 minutes of flight time, with LED lighting.
Battery capacity is 3500 mAh; take-off weight is 570 g. Complete the required training and hold a certificate before you fly it.
YUNEEC MANTIS G
The Yuneec Mantis G flies for about 33 minutes and sits among long-endurance models. It suits experienced users, has a built-in camera, a 2000 m range, and LED lighting. After training with a private provider you can get the SHGM certificate and fly it.
PARROT DISCO FPV
Aimed at beginners, the Parrot Disco FPV flies for about 45 minutes. It has a built-in camera, no LED lighting, and a 2000 m range.
It still needs a certificate and sits on long-endurance lists. Train with a private provider under the SHGM curriculum. Battery capacity is 2700 mAh; it does not support an external camera.
Orion
In 2014, Flight Science Corporation's Orion stayed airborne for 80 hours, 2 minutes, and 52 seconds and set a world record. In 2021, FENGRU-3-100 took that record.
FENGRU-3-100
A research team built FENGRU-3-100 at Beihang University in China. It stayed airborne for 80 hours, 46 minutes, and 35 seconds: 44 minutes longer than Orion, and the longest endurance title at the time.
How long can a drone stay airborne?
Consumer drones you can buy without specialised budgets usually stay up for 15 to 30 minutes. Industrial drones can reach about 3 hours.
Endurance tracks battery capacity. Stronger batteries keep the aircraft up longer, so match capacity to the sector, site, and job. Air time in a single flight sets how much work you finish and how much time and cost you save. Once you know the mission, pick battery power for the output you need.
How far can a drone fly?
Maximum distance is limited to 1.5 miles under the rules cited here. Turkey follows European Civil Aviation Authority norms.
A drone bought in Turkey can be sent up to 2000 m horizontally and 500 m vertically in software limits.
Can you fly a drone anywhere?
No. Air traffic and safety rules block flying everywhere at any time. Hobby and industrial flights both need an online registration and flight permission. Another flight may already be active in that area, or the zone may be restricted without you knowing. Get permission before you fly; flights without it attract penalties.
Long-endurance drone prices
Long-endurance models cost more than short-flight aircraft because of the extra air time. List prices move over time, and battery capacity differences push prices apart.
Hobby and industrial drones use different capacities. Hobby packs are smaller than industrial packs, which raises industrial prices. Higher-output industrial aircraft stay up longer on stronger batteries and raise productivity in healthcare, agriculture, security, construction, mapping, photography, and film. If you plan industrial use, treat battery capacity and flight time as primary specs.
